Room With A View
This little 'house' is carved from cottonwood bark. Some call it the privy, the oval office or the outhouse. I call this one 'Room With a View', since you have to climb the hill to check in. It measures 6" high and 3" wide. Hand carved and sealed with Deft lacquer.

Angus
Angus is my latest carving from the Arizona cottonwood bark . He is a protective old wood spirit full of wisdom and humor. He measures 15" in length and 6" and the widest point. This piece of bark was 4" thick before carving. I think this is a good example of working with splits in bark and incorporating them into your subject.
