Lil' Snow Skier

This little guy was hiding in a piece of old basswood. The base was carved from a separate piece. The wife has already claimed him, so she got an early Christmas present.

Santa Vintage Rolling Pin #5

Here is my latest Santa rolling pin. This vintage rolling pin is bird's eye maple, and the hardest to carve so far. These are for display only and are a hot seller. I finished this one the same way, using thinned acrylic paints and sealing with polyurethane.

Basswood Snowman

I started this guy in September, finally got around to finishing him up. He is carved from a basswood half log. He stands 16" tall and is 9" wide at the base. The wife claimed this one, so he is staying here.

Cottonwood Bark Christmas

I haven't posted in a while, I am carving Christmas gifts and don't want family members to sneak a peek. I have been carving some for sales, and here are a few. These are carved from cottonwood bark and painted with thinned acrylics sealed with matte polyurethane.
