Woodcarving Illustrated Fall Issue 2020

I'm happy to share the news that my latest project is included in the Woodcarving Illustrated fall 2020 issue. I designed this bottle stopper project for the Halloween season with the adults in mind. Thanks to my wife for the excellent photos. Enjoy!

Halloween 2015

If you follow along, you know I carve something for my nieces and nephews for Halloween. Had two extra to do, twin baby girls born this year. I carve something different each year. These were from 2" x 2" basswood. Painted with acrylics and sealed with a matte varnish.

Happy Halloween

I carved these little trick or treaters for my nieces and nephews for Halloween. A pretty simple carving, from a 1 3/8" x 1 3/8"  basswood  block. They are 3 3/4" tall, except the witch she is 4 3/4". Still have five more to carve.
