Another great day at Shoal Creek with 638 spectators attending. Thanks to all the volunteers and reenactors for all they do to put on this event. We celebrated the 4th of July and the veterans coming home after the Civil War. I carved on a piece of walnut from the firewood pile. Didn't get too far on this one. The cabin I'm in doubled as the bank this month, and wouldn't you know it, it was robbed! Yep, the James gang was in town, took all the money and left one of our citizens lying dead in the street. If you haven't been out yet, there are two more chances this summer.
